Eczar is designed to bring vitality to multi-script typesetting, featuring a mix of personality and performance. It is well-suited for both text sizes and display settings, with expressive qualities that intensify with increased weight.
Supports Latin, Latin Extended, Greek, Greek Extended and Devanagari, making it suitable for internationally oriented designs and text.
Available in Regular and Bold weights, Allowing flexible use depending on text structure.
The license is SIL Open Font License, allowing flexible use for commercial purposes and redistribution.
Background
Eczar originated as a student project by Vaibhav Singh (Rosetta Type Foundry) during his MA studies in Typeface Design at the University of Reading. The design was developed to offer a lively alternative for typesetting in Latin and Devanagari scripts.
